The Department of Architectural Engineering aims at the graduation of the architectural engineer equipped with all the necessary foundations, scientific theories, engineering skills and application experiences to present the engineering and technical consultations in the field of designing and supervising the implementation of various kinds of architectural and planning projects. Through the study program, in addition to the basic sciences the student receives lectures in the fields of architectural design, implementation of installations, studying the history and theories of architectural engineering and architectural planning and design.
The study program also includes sciences of building engineering, such as lighting, acoustics, heat in buildings, computer applications, the technical installations and equipments in buildings, environmental control, project administration and some civil engineering sciences such as surveying and constructional designs of buildings.

study pattern in the Architectural Engineering Department gives the student the opportunity of working as an architectural engineer, immediately after graduation, in the various professional fields in ministries, companies, scientific centers and universities. The graduate of the Department are awarded the Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering. The fifth year student (the final year) prepares a graduation project that is specified by the Department, on the basis of the actual requirements of the local environment. The students are sent for practical training for a period of two weeks after first and second years and four weeks after the third and forth years.
